I use trauma-informed, culturally appropriate and evidence-based treatment modalities to help clients heal from trauma, cope more effectively with ongoing life stressors and develop new insights into their mental wellness. My approach to therapy is client-centred, strength-based, and compassion-focused, acknowledging the uniqueness that we all possess. I primarily use CBT (Cognitive behaviour therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior therapy), Compassion focused therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). I continue to learn new ways that guide my practice.
I have clinical experience supporting adults with anxiety, depression, personality disorders, relationship issues, trauma, and ongoing life stressors. Life is messy and complicated and healing is not linear. “We may not be responsible for the world that created our minds, but we can take responsibility for the mind with which we create our world” Gabor Mate
My goal is to increase your personal fulfillment and positive growth. As Maya Angelou states “People will forget what you said or what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel”. I am committed to walking alongside my clients toward a continuous journey of self-growth and self-improvement.
