I am a Trauma-Informed Social Worker, Therapist and Yoga Instructor based in Toronto, Ontario. For over ten years I have been working towards mental health awareness within Black, Indigenous, People of Colour (BIPOC) communities. Through culturally informed counselling, my clients are able to address generational trauma, attachment based relationship issues, and improving self-esteem, just to name a few possibilities. In sessions, we will work together to understand the root causes that bring you to counselling, and how we can empower you with the tools to overcome them.
I specialize in practicing from a lens that addresses generational and racial trauma, and empowering you to meet your emotional, mental and spiritual goals. Using a holistic lens we will work together to improve any presenting emotional imbalances that have created barriers for you to show up as your full self in your daily life.
For many folks within the BIPOC community, there can be some hesitancy in going to counselling. However, through an initial consultation you will be able to voice any questions you may have about counselling, and what you will get out of it. Taking the first step to reach out is the first piece to getting on the path to your mental wellness.
