I specialize in treating mood disorders, anger/rage, addiction/codependency, marital and family conflict. I offer individual therapy, couples therapy and family therapy sessions. My work is trauma informed as most emotional concerns can be rooted in trauma. This also includes relational trauma such as infidelity, trust issues, abusive behaviours, and relationships with an addicted spouse. It has been my passion teach clients how to regulate their nervous system through somatic practices and distress tolerance.
I strive to help my clients learn to embrace their true self, heal deep wounds, connect with their body, release trauma, regulate emotions, find effective coping techniques, reduce any destructive behaviours, and improve interpersonal relationships.
I use a combination approach integrating many therapy modalities including CBT, DBT, Somatic Experiencing, ACT, Attachment-Focused, Strengths Based Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Trauma Informed Therapy, Family Systems Therapy as well as Narrative Therapy and IFS.
