Seeking therapy is an invaluable investment in oneself, and I believe it is my job as a therapist to empower clients to find and live their own paths and truths. The path to healing begins with a trusting and accepting therapist-client relationship; I provide a space that recognizes and centers the unique strengths, values, and lived experiences of each individual, and I seek to partner with clients to best meet their needs. Respecting client self-determination is fundamental to my practice, which is grounded in cultural humility and recognizing the ways in which our values and identities form the many facets of who we are.
I provide affirming, trauma-informed, integrative treatment emphasizing the whole individual. I center multicultural, feminist, and humanistic perspectives, and consider how multiple oppressions/identities impact personal lived experiences. My specializations include trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, and loss; I also provide EMDR therapy.
I have extensive experience with, and passion for, working with underrepresented populations, particularly the LGBTQIA community and immigrants/asylum-seekers. I am an ally and advocate for individuals navigating gender identity, expression, and transition, and I also am a kink-aware and non-monogamy affirming practitioner.
