Counseling needs to be a safe, comfortable place for you to share your issues and find ways to overcome them. My goal as a counselor is to help you become the healthiest you have ever been. My education, training and life events have given me experience in working with anxiety and depression issues, just to name a few. It's hard feeling like everyone is normal but you. Personally, my philosophy is to educate and motivate. I like to give psychoeducation about what your issues are and motivate you to make the changes you need to live healthy!
People have described me as having a "calm presence" and "easy to relate to." My counseling approach used a cognitive behavioral approach, biblical worldview, and other techniques from the counseling world that I have had success with.
