My ideal client is someone who is curious and open, ready to roll up their sleeves with me to find out what's keeping them stuck. Whether its negative relational patterns, daunting thoughts/emotions, or unhelpful coping skills, my goal is to dive in with a gentle and curious lens to understand what's getting in the way of you reaching your goals. I am energized by helping clients understand their family of origin and its effect on their current relationships, peer into past traumas that bring unhelpful emotional weight to their current life, and find healthier ways to cope with life's inevitable stress.
I work primarily with individuals to work through anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, identity, trauma, and understanding one’s family of origin. My counseling methods are grounded in Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I believe the chance to create a warm, compassionate, nonjudgmental space for clients to feel welcome to work through life's stressors, anxieties, and fears is a great privilege and responsibility. I believe some of our deepest hurt comes from relationships and that we are all capable of healing through relationship. I find joy in being that safe space.
