Current openings for individual counseling and Twice Exceptional Parenting clients. Things beyond our control in life sometimes shake loose issues that we thought we were past. Coping that has worked before, no longer seems to work or is even now getting in our way in our lives. There are sometimes moments where we can't see beyond the here and now which makes us believe that things will always be the way they currently are. These are pivotal life moments that allow us the opportunity to seek a different path. This may be the time to begin to seek guidance or dig deeper into our issues in order to grow.
My approach is collaborative and compassionate. I was once asked, 'what is the one problem you see in the world today', I quickly responded with: "listening...people need to be heard, but it is hard to find people who will listen." I am currently only doing video telehealth sessions, however this opens my practice to the whole state of Washington.
After working in my field for over 30 years and raising 2 children, I have walked the path of struggle with others and experienced much of my own. I have a deep understanding of and compassion for the pain and difficulty we all face, and love helping others on their journey. I also provide professional consultation to licensed therapists.
