Trauma-Focused DBT Group
This group is geared towards helping individuals heal from Complex PTSD. We combine skills from DBT for PTSD which are specifically aimed at helping people cope with symptoms of C-PTSD, trauma sensitive mindfulness practices, psycho-education on C-PTSD, peer support and intimacy building exercises in dyads to help people overcome fears and anxieties that arise in intimate relationships.

DBT Skills Training Group- Tuesday's 7:00-8:30PM
DBT Skills Training focuses on helping clients develop the coping skills they need to solve their own problems and achieve their desired goals. Four skills training modules are taught: Core mindfulness skills- to control the attention and to experience the present moment more fully. Distress tolerance skills - to tolerate painful and/or stressful events and emotions without making the current situation worse. Emotion regulation skills - to identify and modulate emotions without getting overwhelmed by them. Interpersonal effectiveness skills - to express beliefs and needs, set limits and negotiate solutions to problems while protecting relationships. This group is now being conducted online via zoom.
